There was a little excitement in town last weekend for the BBQ, Blues & Bikes Festival. There were 25,000 people downtown by my little studio. Pretty exciting stuff for the big small town of E’town. With all of the festivities surrounding the bike theme, I just had to photograph a couple on a Harley. So here you have it. My dear, sweet & gorgeous friend Amber & her boyfriend Darren. This will be printed on Metal in my studio hanging in the window so make sure to take a peek if you drive by.

Christa & Chris are getting married this fall  & I am super excited to shoot their wedding! Christa has a style very similar to mine &  i have LOVED hearing about all of her ideas for their wedding. We did their engagement session this past weekend In the little town where I live & here are some of my favorite images from the evening.

This session is pretty special to me! I wanted to shoot something totally for ME before i started out my busy wedding season. Something fun. dreamy. creative. all my ideas & style so i rounded up a few of my favorite people & we started planning & brainstorming. My good friend Rhonda & I spent the day a few weeks before the session scouting locations all through the backroads of Bardstown & soon lined hair & make up artist up & my models for the shoot! I happened to meet an amazing florist just days before the shoot & when i shared some of my ideas with her, She jumped on board as well!  My models Ciera, Courtney & Sam were the best! I’ve worked with Ciera & Courtney before & LOVE these girls & this was the first day any of us had met Sam & it could not have been a better match. We had originally planned on “Ciera & Sam” being the “model couple” but as you can see…Sam was a hit! I had to photograph him with both of the ladies! I couldn’t have done this without any of the people listed below! Each person’s talent was such a great fit for this shoot & their time is appreciated more than words can say!

Every year around the first of March wedding photographers from all around the world come together in Las Vegas for WPPI. (wedding photography association) The main convention, classes & tradeshow are held at the MGM Grand & there are literally hundreds of “off site” shoots & workshops to attend. This was my first WPPI so i had put a lot of planning into what i wanted to do the most, what goals i had for the week. I knew that i wanted A. to attend Sue Bryce’s class. B. take part in an styled session in Vegas & C. see VEGAS BABY!! I’m happy to say I did those few “must do” on my list & much more! Sue Bryce’s class was pretty amazing. Early, yes! But, lovely! She is an inspiring photographer & woman. I got a little starstruck when i got to have a cupcake with Robert Lim at the Canon party & when i stood next to Jasmine Star in the lobby of the hotel.  I got to experience alot in Vegas & I came back ready to jump into my busiest wedding season ever! I found some new & pretty  sweet wedding albums to offer to my brides & a new way to deliver wedding files. I can’t wait to share 😉

The images below are from the styled session that I took part in while in Vegas. It was hosted by Emma & Josh @ Emma + Josh photography & Couture Clicks. There were around 20 photographers and we got to work with amazing team of stylist / designers. The theme for the shoot was Les Miserables. A French Villa off of the strip was the perfect location for the theme & the details down to the crumpets were just perfect!
