I sooo love brides who go the extra mile in styling the engagement session! Carolyn did an amazing job with all of the details for her and Kyle’s shoot. I love the little chalk boards that she brought for her save the date cards.  I couldn’t decide on my favorite board for the save the dates so i included both! Let me tell you…it wasn’t easy narrowing down my favorites from this one! They are gorgeous and stylish and in love and i feel blessed to be able to capture a part of their love story. <3

Today at Melissa g photography we are kicking off our new “Country Girl” promo. This is a non – traditional boudoir session. Yes, i realize that the meaning of boudoir is a “woman’s private bedroom” but hey…we are in the South! It’s your very own “modeling” shoot …country style. We have access to an exclusive location for the next month. Tractors,  trucks and even a clawfoot tub are some of the props that we will be using to create for you a one of a kind photo shoot.  When you come to the studio you will start in the hair and make up room with our fabulous hair and make up artist and then we are off to our private rural location. ( 5 minutes from the studio ). This session takes about an hour.  Bring  your cowboy boots…trucker hats…flannels…anything to fit the “country girl” theme. We  had one client bring in her husband’s whiskey bottle and his guns!  ~These little personal touches make your album and photos unique! Shelby’s session is just one example of what these sessions are like. If you’d like to see more of the boudoir / “country girl” style photography ….please call (502-974-1335) and make an appointment to come into the studio as we are very limited in being able to share these sessions on Facebook and here on the blog….or visit us on Thursday April 26 at the studio for our open house where all of the latest sessions will be on the big screen. Come by and meet the boudoir team and book your session. “Country girl” promo starts Monday April 16 and ends May 16. Book with your friends for a fun girls day out and for big savings! ~

Tawan and Devan had one of most intimate and touching wedding ceremonies i have ever been a part of. Tawan came into my studio just a few short weeks ago for a bridal consultation and immediately i could see how much love she had for Deven just by the way she says his name.  She and Devan have one of those relationships that inspire  those around them. Their entire family was a pleasure to work with as well as the staff from Woodhaven Country Club. I feel blessed to have brides that become friends. She’s one in a million…oh, and she gives me cupcakes …which is going to have it’s very own blog post. Below are a few of my favorite images from their wedding day.

Just wrapped our latest bridal boudoir session ~ how i wish i could share every image of this gorgeous bride. We recreated the Victoria’s Secret bridal collage that many of you may see on pinterest…added our own ideas to it and it turned out quite lovely. This is the only image i can share on the blog however….the other images from this session will be available to view on the big screen at the next boudoir open house on  Thursday April 26 at the studio from 2-6 pm. Meet the boudoir team ~ Cocktails ~ appetizers ~ and tons of new work to take a look at.  If you book a session on this evening …there is a special incentive. oooh la la~ hope to see you there!
